Privacy Policy

Telos is a personal health and longevity tracker. It exists to bring your own data — sleep, training, nutrition, protocols, and related measures — into one place so you can see how they connect over time. This policy explains what we collect, why, where it lives, and the control you have over it. It is written plainly on purpose.

The short version
- We collect the health information you choose to log, plus the minimum needed to run your account.
- Your data is stored privately and is only accessible to you. We do not sell it. We do not share it for advertising.
- You can export or permanently delete your data at any time.
- A small number of trusted infrastructure providers process data on our behalf. They are listed below.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we store your email address and an authentication identifier. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name, and profile basics from Google — nothing more. We do not receive your Google password.
Health and lifestyle information you enter. This is the core of the product and is provided entirely by you. Depending on what you choose to log, it may include: sleep scores, body weight, steps and movement, workouts, food entries and calorie estimates, habits, supplement and other protocols, mood, energy and stress ratings, body-feel notes, free-text notes, your stated goals, and profile details such as age, sex, and height.
Technical information. Standard operational data needed to deliver and secure the service — for example, the time of a request and basic error logs. We do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
We treat health information as sensitive. We only collect it because you enter it, and only use it to provide the features you are using.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Operate your account and authenticate you.
- Store and display the data you log, and compute the estimates and trends the app provides (for example, calorie targets and charts).
- Send you the reminder and account emails you have opted into.
- Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We do not use your data to train any model of our own, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.
Estimates are estimates
Some figures Telos shows you — such as calorie targets — are calculated estimates based on standard formulas and the information you provide. They are an estimate, not a prescription, and not medical advice. Telos is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, or replace professional care. Decisions about your health should be made with a qualified professional.
Where your data lives, and who processes it
Your data is stored in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase. Access is restricted at the database level so that each account can only ever read or write its own rows.
We rely on a small set of providers to run Telos. Each processes only what is needed for its function:
- Supabase — database, authentication, and storage of your account and logged data.
- Vercel — application hosting and serverless functions.
- Google — sign-in, only if you choose "Continue with Google."
- Resend — delivery of reminder and account emails, only if you opt in.
- Anthropic — powers Learn search only, and only when you use it (see below).
These providers may store and process data outside Australia. By using Telos you understand that your information may be handled in other countries under their respective terms.
AI-powered features
One feature relies on an external AI provider (Anthropic): Learn search. When you type a search in the Learn section, that query is sent — through our own servers — to return relevant information. Your logged health data is never sent to an AI provider, and your account is not exposed directly to it. We operate on a paid plan under terms where your inputs are not used to train the provider's models. If you would rather not use Learn search, the rest of Telos works without it.
Cookies and similar technology
Telos uses only the storage strictly necessary to keep you signed in and to run the application. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your data is permanently removed from our database, including the records held across our tables. Some providers may retain residual copies in backups for a limited period as part of their normal operations before those are overwritten.
Your choices and rights
You can:
- Access and export the data you have logged.
- Correct your profile and entries directly in the app.
- Delete your account and data permanently, from within the app.
- Opt out of emails at any time.
If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data rights (for example, under the Australian Privacy Principles or the GDPR), those rights apply, and you can exercise them by using the in-app controls or by contacting us at Marcus.caminiti@gmail.com. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you may also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Children
Telos is intended for adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Security
Access to your data is restricted to your authenticated account at the database level, and credentials for our AI features are held only on our servers, never in the app you run. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information and limit who and what can reach it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, give notice within the app or by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
